Eevee-lutions Guide

With its multiple forms, Eevee is one of the most unique Pokemon in the series. Over time, Pokemon with several evolved forms have been discovered, but Eevee’s possibilities greatly surpass all others.

Pokemon Sword and Shield features 8 possible Eevee evolutions:

  • Espeon (psychic)
  • Flareon (fire)
  • Glaceon (ice)
  • Jolteon (electric)
  • Leafeon (grass)
  • Sylveon (fairy)
  • Umbreon (dark)
  • Vaporeon (water)

The Stone Holders

The first five evolution’s we’ll go through are possibly the easiest to deal with. All you really have to do is give your Eevee the appropriate stone and it’ll evolve. Aside from finding the stone itself, the procedure is pretty simple.

  • Flareon: Fire stone
  • Glaceon: Ice Stone
  • Jolteon: Thunder Stone
  • Leafeon: Leaf Stone
  • Vaporeon: Water Stone

The Friendship Evolvers

Now the other three evolution’s are a little different. These evolutions require you to raise their friendship level above level three first and foremost. After that there is a secondary condition that must be met before evolution.

  • Sylveon: Must know a fairy type move
  • Espeon: Must not know a fairy type move and level up during the day.
  • Umbreon: Must not know a fairy type move and be evolved during the night.

Strange conditions to say the least, but if you know the requirements it is fairly easy to achieve these evolutions! Proceed with caution, it can be extremely frustrating to accidentally evolve during the wrong time of day and not get the one you’re looking for!

Good luck building your Eevee team!
