This game wasn’t at all what I was expecting it to be. I was thinking that the gameplay would feel a lot like Breathe of the Wild did. Even though the game played drastically different than Breathe of the Wild I wouldn’t say it was worse by any means.
The intensity of taking out massive groups of enemies all at once is very satisfying. It’s nice that some of the attacks are based on the moves and specials you can use in Breathe of the Wild.
Although completely different than Breathe of the Wild it seems like it’s going to be an amazing game in its own right.
Update: I have continued playing this game with a friend of mine who purchased it. They are horribly disappointed in it solely because of the fact that they thought it was going to be more like Breath of the Wild. Something they pointed out to me that I didn’t realize is the fact that it can be played multiplayer!
Although the game does have intricacies to it it still fell short on game play. The process is very repetitive and, if I was playing alone, would get boring. I also can not get past Princess Zelda’s voice. Not that it’s wrong, I just don’t think it’s a good fit at all.
I’m glad I didn’t end up paying full price for the game myself. I will grab it if I see it around $20-30 dollars at some point but otherwise it’s just not appealing enough to draw me in.
