7 Days to Die quick blip

Let me start out by saying that I know this game has been around basically forever and on top of that I started playing this game nearly 3 years ago myself so it’s not exactly new to me either.

Lately, with all this time at home, I have found myself delving back into old games that I thought I “put down” years ago. The latest in the long line of game replaying is 7 Days to Die.

If you’re looking for a cross between a zombie  survival game/ freeworld exploration/ full world destruction and building/ and online integration to work with and against others this is your game. Personally I play offline to only deal with the zombies making the game feel a lot more like a less blocky version of Minecraft but those who game frequently will love the online aspect of the game!

From crafting weapons to vehicles and building this game causes you to live in constant anxiety to survive. Can you secure an old building right from the start and hold up in there to escape the zombies outside? Yep! Will that fend off other players? Nope! Will that keep you safe from starvation and dehydration? Absolutely not. There is no easy way to make it through this game and personally I think that’s the best part. You have to be on constant alert to survive in this game and even then, you probably won’t.

Like I said I have been playing this game offline because I simply get destroyed online. It takes a lot of practice to get to the point where you can survive the skilled players online. If all you’re looking for is a zombie survival game than offline might be the better option for you. It’s still a fairly big struggle and you learn a lot about the game without having to deal with other humans by playing offline. There are so many intricate little things going on that aren’t exactly explained very well at all so the more you can know before going into it the better. I won’t even consider making a guide for this as mine wouldn’t compare to some of the ones that you can find out there from experienced players.

All in all I would highly suggest checking out this game for all of you out there trying to make it through your time in isolation. Since I have so many things going on at home (projects around the house that I usually don’t have time to start) I have had to set a timer on how long I play each day. Hopefully you won’t have to do that and can instead play to your heart’s content!!

TLDR

During this time of self isolation I highly recommend checking out 7 Days to Die as a way to pass the time. It’s addicting survival struggle will keep you occupied for many hours once you get the hang of the basics.
