Pikmin 3 for the Switch
I bet there is a number of you out there who are going "Finally a third Pikmin!" Well sorry to burst your bubble but the game has actually been out for a long while. Being originally released on the Wii U 7 years ago. The reason you might not have heard of it isn't because it's not a good game (it's just as great as the other two). Likely you didn't hear about it because the Wii U was kinda a failure meaning that the games that came out for it didn't receive the love they deserved.
For those of you who did get to play the game this news is equally as exciting. Pikmin 3 is being re-released on the Nintendo Switch!
Since there is no real word on a Pikmin 4 coming along, getting to play number 3 on the Switch is about as close as we're going to get to having a new addition to the series any time soon. That being said if Nintendo sees the renewed love for the game on this record selling console they might put a rush on number 4!!
With the demo available now in the Nintendo Store you might as well give it a go! I already did!
Although the game being full price for an updated game from 7 years ago is kinda unbelievable, for those of us who haven't played the full game previously it might just be worth it.
So if the nostalgia is taking over, or you're just looking for something light to play, download the demo for Pikmin 3 now! Remind yourself just how much joy these little idiots can bring!

Genshin Impact: Gacha gaming that’s… good? I often find myself not knowing quite how to feel about mobile games. While capable of providing cheap thrills and alleviating temporary boredom, they generally don’t possess the sort of staying power more robust console and PC titles do.
Has gaming lost its magic? Are you unable to find a game worth your time? Do you scroll endlessly through your library and waste time watching trailers - but nothing engages you? You might have Gamer's Block! Don't worry though, there's hope for you yet.
The game is a blast to play. I am not one who tends to play these competitive first person shooters but I'm starting to think maybe I should be spending more time playing them. I did get better over the course of playing but still got obliterated each round. Some of that was due to glitching in the game but generally it was just me.
I don't play a lot of competitive first person shooters. Call of Duty specifically I haven't played since high school. That made getting Beta access to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War a little nerve wracking. I figured that I should record my first attempt at playing this game so that you can what it's all about
Most games that I remember from years past are the classics known for their great gameplay. I can confidently say that's not the case for this game. The crazy nature of this game, from animation to concept, is definitely what has kept it in my mind all these years.
This quirky throwback to old style gaming got me hooked pretty quickly. Even with it's simple play style the game offers a variety of challenges that'll keep you staring that the screen.
Although the game came out 9 years ago it still has a lot of playability today. Whether you're just trying to find areas that you've never explored or creating a whole new build opposite or what you normally play there's numerous ways to keep you interested. With the addition of the Amiibo it can be even more exciting.
The game reminds me of a classic arcade side scroller game but with an upgraded 3D depth to the scenery. Flying in a plane (that can also fly underwater?) while shooting the things that come onto the screen to stay alive and hopefully upgrade as you go!
While we are awaiting the sequel in the much beloved “Breath of the Wild” series Nintendo surprised us with a prequel! Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity lets you play through the war in the years previous to the adventure we’ve come to love. Get through Hyrule as any of the previous heroes!

Introducing Steve and some of the Minecraft crew into the fight!
Nintendo has adamantly stated that the DS would not be brought to an end because of the Switch. This was hard to believe as the Nintendo Switch is very similar to the DS consoles. Staying true to their word for much longer than anticipated their latest update may bring an end to the DS.
In Control, you take on the character of Jesse Faden, a no-nonsense redhead out to discover the whereabouts of her missing brother. She tracks a lead, or rather her intuition leads her outside the doors of a semi-secret government organization known as the Federal Bureau of Control.
As I played through Horizon Zero Dawn, Guerilla Games first foray into the action rpg genre, I found myself struck with that same slack-jawed wonder that transpired in my youth when I explored the likes of Hyrule, Reach, the Mass Effect universe. A series of unrelenting moments so perfectly crafted

One of the classic games of my youth, Spore. I find about once a year I get the urge to stay up the game again and work my way through the evolutionary track and try to fight my way to the center of the universe. If you've never heard of the game you might want to look into it.
