Mistplay. The Loyalty Program for Gamers

*This is not a paid advertisement. (I wish)*

This is an unusual item for me to write about but since I started using it I thought I should resolve some of the speculation that I initially felt about the program.

To begin I only was even aware of the app due to relentless targeted advertisements. I eventually decided to look into it since all this free time at home has caused me to play mobile games a lot more than I normally would have.

Lets get through the nitty gritty right away. YES it's a real thing, YES you can earn money from playing games, NO it's not a viable way to make money.

I have been using the games through the app for a while now (just over a week) and am almost at the amount of points required for the lowest rewards tier! $0.50 from Amazon, yes half a dollar.

That being said I will say something for the app. It is supposed to show you games related to your interest. I don't know how good of a job it does at that but I do enjoy how easy it is to scroll through the suggested games and have found a few that are interesting. Currently I am playing AFK Arena. Since I am enjoying the game I will likely continue playing so I might as well be earning points while playing it anyways.

The best deal seems to be for Cineplex, $10 for 2200 points. That's the one that I'm aiming for but I'm only hoping to reach that after about 2 months, better than nothing.

TLDR

If you play games on your phone you might as well download this app. It won't make you much money but it will give you some physical reward for the time that you spend playing games on your phone.

Genshin Impact: Gacha gaming that’s… good? I often find myself not knowing quite how to feel about mobile games. While capable of providing cheap thrills and alleviating temporary boredom, they generally don’t possess the sort of staying power more robust console and PC titles do.

The game is a blast to play. I am not one who tends to play these competitive first person shooters but I'm starting to think maybe I should be spending more time playing them. I did get better over the course of playing but still got obliterated each round. Some of that was due to glitching in the game but generally it was just me.

I don't play a lot of competitive first person shooters. Call of Duty specifically I haven't played since high school. That made getting Beta access to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War a little nerve wracking. I figured that I should record my first attempt at playing this game so that you can what it's all about

Nintendo has adamantly stated that the DS would not be brought to an end because of the Switch. This was hard to believe as the Nintendo Switch is very similar to the DS consoles. Staying true to their word for much longer than anticipated their latest update may bring an end to the DS.
