Dear Tom Nook,
I understand that you've implemented the "one island per console" system into your island getaway but I would like to say that it's complete garbage.
My partner and I purchased your package thinking it would be a wonderful way to spend our time and in the beginning it was, for her at least. I was occupied with other things and unable to make it to the island myself until this morning so she had established the majority of the island already.
You know the frustrating thing? I won’t get the chance to build an island my way!
Thanks to your ridiculous system I am only able to play on the island that she created. My options are:
1. Start my own character and just ignore the fact that all the big milestones will be completed by someone else. Also be in constant competition with that person for the limited island resources.
2. Play on their account so at least one account is getting all the credit for the work being down since it’s all the same island anyway.
3. Don’t play at all.
I have not come to a definite conclusion on which option it’ll be other than the fact that I’ve already deleted my account.
I don't understand the thinking behind why it was created this way but I greatly hope that this is being changed soon. Most people don't want to be forced into sharing "their" island. If you're worried about people tricking the system to get all the fruits than make all the islands have the same fruit to start with! Really I would even be happy with having to keep the same island map as long as it wasn't shared.
Thanks for taking the fun out of my island getaway.
